The system provides basic general settings that apply to all polls together, and individual settings that can be adjusted for particular polls.

Global settings

General or global settings can be found by clicking the gear icon near the ‘Create survey’ button on the main screen with all your polls:

Send notification

If you enable this setting, a dedicated push-notification will automatically be sent to users encouraging them to take a poll. It applies in the following cases:

  • This poll was started automatically by schedule

  • This poll was started manually by administrator

By tapping on such push notification, the user will be taken directly to the corresponding poll. You can find more on push notification in Sending a push notification.

Display survey results in application

This setting allows to show total poll results to the users. If enabled, the results button appears in the app, and users are able to check out statistics:

Individual poll settings

You can also set several parameters for each of your polls on a poll settings screen below the launch options:

Scoring for correct answers

This setting allows you to make a poll into a test: for questions with single and multiple answers, you can set points for each option. This is useful if you would like to check your audience’ knowledge or make a competition. All scores will be available in the statistics section of the admin panel — please see Polls statistics.

When you enable this option, you will be able to enter scores in the dedicated field to the right of the poll answer options:

Allowed to skip questions

This setting controls if all of the questions are obligatory to answer by users. If enabled, users can skip questions in the poll. If you would like to make all of the questions in your poll obligatory, uncheck this setting.

Authorization required

If enabled, this setting allows only logged in users to take this poll. Those who have not logged in previously, will be redirected to log in screen first and only after that will be able to see the poll content.

Override global settings

This setting allows to override the global settings for a particular poll. For example, if you chose not to send automatic push notifications on polls start, but would like to send one for this poll only, you can check ‘Override global settings’ and ‘Send notifications on survey start’ here.
